Everything about him, including his age and place of origin, is unknown. He is a ronin in samurai clothing, and his body is covered with battle scars. He is a master swordsman, but mysteriously has his sword set so that it cannot be unsheathed easily. He meets Kotaro who hires him as a protector on his journey.
